Description
THE PERFECT SEED GERMINATION SOLUTION.
We start with a heavy outer layer to provide moisture and warmth to the seeds. We then add an inner layer of a soft hemp material for the seeds to be placed in. It’s the updated version of the paper towel method. This is the ultimate seed germination tool…we took our original proven Seed Starter Mat and made it better!
“Works extremely well! I used it on some older seeds that I was having trouble germinating and with this seed starter mat I got 100% germination rates! Very impressed! Would definitely buy again!”

OUR SEED STARTER MAT IS DESIGNED TO HELP GERMINATE PLANT SEEDS WITH EASE.
Our Seed Starter Mat 2.0 is made with two layers of material. We start with a compressed layer of natural wool and pulp for our outer layer. The compression allows us to use more material for more moisture retention. The outer layer provides the warmth and moisture retention needed to start seeds. Our wool is made from free range wool from New Zealand. Our outer layer is not treated with chemicals or dyes to ensure a clean germination.
Our inner layer is a Hemp and Organic Cotton layer. This layer is what the seeds make contact with. This layer helps reduce the chances of your lateral roots sticking to the surface. We suggest beginners transfer out of the Seed Starter Mat before the roots get over 3/4 Inch.

- Reusable – We use the finest materials we can find for our products. We design these to be used over-and-over.
- Made in the USA – We make this in our shop in Denver. We use a Marine Grade Premium thread that is designed to be wet. We double stitch all the edges to ensure a long life.
- Clean – We always look for the safest and cleanest materials when we make a product. Our Seed Starter Mat 2.0 is no exception.
The paper towel method is what inspired the Seed Starter Mat. We’d been using that method for years. We wanted to make the paper towel method better. We also learned many paper towel brands use chemicals that the roots can feed on during germination so we wanted something cleaner that we can wash.
OUR SEED STARRTER MAT 2.0 COMES IN 2 SIZES
Small – 4 Inches X 4 Inches – We recommend this for 1-6 seeds.
Medium – 5 inches X 6 Inches – We recommend this for around 12 seeds.
We have example photos on this listing showing each size with the recommended seeds per mat.
We do all our testing on cannabis seeds but we have a lot of customers using these for tomatoes and other types of plants.
We look forward to having you try our new Seed Starter Mat 2.0 for your next germination.

WHERE ARE YOUR GROW BAGS AND BEDS MADE?
As of July 2019, all of our Grow Bags and Grow Beds are made in our small manufacturing shop in Denver, Colorado. We pay fair wages and provide a kick ass work environment for our workers. We have some of the best seamstresses in the world making our products.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS WORTH THE PRICE?
Yes! Just read the over 1,000 reviews on our Etsy Shop. Our customers tell us all the time how much value they feel they receive when buying our high quality products. We still have many growers using our original bags from many years ago. Our grow bags and grow beds are hand made in our small shop using the finest USA made raw materials we can get. Our products are made to last grow-after-grow without breaking down and leaching into your soil.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS DESIGNED FOR GROWERS?
Yes! We grow. It’s our life. And we want to grow the best for ourselves and our families and friends. We love to grow and garden and we love being part of the community. Every inch of our bags and beds are designed for us the grower! We are constantly improving with the awesome feedback from the community!
WHY DON’T YOU MAKE YOUR BAGS OUT OF HEMP?
Great question! We actually tried that several years ago and realized quickly that the one place in our grow rooms and gardens we want non-organic is in our grow bags and grow beds. The reason is simple. We don’t want our grow bags or grow beds to break down in our soils and in our plants. We go to great lengths to ensure we make our grow bags and grow beds with the correct materials that are designed for the grow room environment.
This is also whey we choose to work with only the most reputable raw material suppliers in the USA so they can guarantee us the quality of the materials we start with. The finest raw materials combined with our passion for making the products is why HONOR products are the finest available.
HOW DO I WASH HONOR GROW BAGS AND GROW BEDS?
Our USA made premium material is made to last. We suggest you wash it between each grow to ensure you get maximum life out of it. We like to spray the bags with hot water and use a clean organic soap like Dr. Bronners. Some growers will use a power washer. We don’t recommend using a brush because stuff like perlite can get in the brush and scratch the bags.
We suggest using your hands and just scrub the nutrients, minerals and leftover material out with the hot water and soap. The purpose of washing the materials is to help it last a long time and also to make sure you have the proper airflow to your roots and soil system. If you like using bleach, please use a 50% water to 50% bleach ratio.
HOW DO I GET THE WRINKLES OUT OF OUR BAGS AFTER SHIPPING?
Our bags like to be warm when they’re being shipped in the airplanes they get really cold in the cargo area and they can wrinkle. The simplest way to get the wrinkles out is to get the bags warm. We suggest getting them warm with hot water or by leaving them in a hot warm place under the sun. When our material gets warm it gets soft and you can work the wrinkles out. If you get them out the first time, you shouldn’t have to do it again unless you fold them and get them cold again.
