TROPICANNA PUNCH BX1 SEED DETAILS
This BX was made using Tropicanna Punch #6, the outlier of both initial test groups. The majority had an earthen, grape flavor but the #6 reeked of artificial strawberry and was pink instead of dark purple. She is the mother of this BX and her progeny have a delicious mix of strawberries, candy grape, and blue sports drink flavors/aromas. Tester report the average flower time to be 63 days with most being light-medium feeders. Zero intersex traits were noted across all testers. There are much more #6 dominant phenos in these than we saw in the original cross, combined with reports of increased vigor, flavor, and overall quality makes this BX1 a total success.

Easily one of Oni’s best releases yet, blowing away the generic Tropicana Punch, this Bx uses a breeder selected mother from among the Tropicana Punch plants Oni grew out

Finished curing my first harvest of three different genotypes, 4 individuals. One of the most vigorous and densely flowered doesn’t have a very strong scent, but the 6’-9’ thin-leaved, slightly Sativa leaning pheno (of which I had two), and a bushy indica that I tried to Veg larger, but apparently hit its genetic size limits, were both incredible. All 4 were purple, with the 2 wider, stocky, wide-leaved bushes turning a much deeper purple, with many more colored leaves, than the Sativa leaners (still probably only 30%-40% Sativa given the genetics, but definitely more so than the other two) had lighter purple flowers but were definitely both keepers. They went almost 2 weeks longer than the other, indica keeper. The taller plants were more tropical punch, citrus, and spice, and the indica keeper smells like blue Gatorade and chai spices, which sounds kind of gross, but it’s a terpene profile I’ve never encountered. The mostly terpene -less indica leaning plant had the fattest and densest buds, and produced almost 2 ounces more than the next highest yielding plant (9’), which produced 5.5 ounces. They were all in 5 gallon airpots with my special blend of organic living soil base (5 parts) mixed with my carefully chosen, and now well proven, choice of amendments – diatomaceous earth (2 oz. per gallon of finished soil), insect frass and shellfish chitin, alfalfa and lower potassium kelp powders (1 tablespoon each per gallon of finished soil), worm castings (1 part, Coast of Maine Lobster Compost (1 part), Ancient Forest (1 part), Azomite (2 tsp. Finished soil), Sea-90 dehydrated, rare element rich seawater dry amendment (1 tablespoon finished gallon of soil), Nectar of the Gods mycorrhizae pellets (1 tablespoon per gallon finished soil), biochar (1/2 part, well washed coco coir, ideally equal parts larger pith and smaller bits (1 part), 10 earthworms per 5 gallons used – applied after young seedling / rooted clone transplantation into 2-3 gallon vegetative stage container, and again at transplant to flowering container (5-20 gallon). Mixed really, really well.
I also used wellgrownseeds.com organic amendments, a dose of vegetative tea and a dose of flowering tea (week 4), Organic Cal-Mag supplement weeks 1-4, Epsom salt weeks 5-8. Plants went 9-9.5 weeks for indica structured and 11 weeks more Sativa / hybrid structured.
Amazing flowers. All four plants were totally covered in trichomes with little apparent difference. Results are incredible, especially in the more sativa leaning flowers. Truly a magnificent cultivar.
