You love Durban Poison. Who Doesn’t? Same with Super Silver Haze. Professor P has done a phenomenal job selecting his SSH F3 Father. From the two packs I popped, there appear to be four female Phenos in the F1 generation. A lanky, almost vine like SSH leaning pheno, with definite Durban influences but that unmistakable SSH musk. The second pheno is more stout, and doesn’t grow as tall indoors but isn’t a bush either. It’s just got a more stout stem and sturdy branches, more reminiscent of Durban Poison, & which has her terps up front. The third and most common pheno is a fairly large, fairly equal combination of the two parents. It has a really interesting terpene profile that’s definitely a combination of Durban & SSH, but isn’t easy to describe. She has a really unique scent to be sure. The fourth pheno is definitely recessive as there was only one out of the 20 plants I popped (14 females / 6 males). She appears to indicate that the Durban Poison used in the cross, like most Durbans out there, is the adulterated Dutch 8 week version, & not the original pure 12-14 week Landrace Durban with extremely skinny leaves. She appears to favor the indica genetics of both parents – NL for SSH & an unknown indica for the Dutch Durban. She is short and stout and has broader leaves than the other plants as well, which all definitely favor their sativa lineages. It also finishes in 6-7 weeks vs. 9 weeks for the more common phenos. It’s scent is also really unique, although it seemed to favor the unmistakable scent of SSH. All in all this is a great plant & if you can’t find Mr. Nice’s original SSH or the Greenhouse version that’s as close to the original as I could tell, the SSH used in these crosses selected by Professor P is really an excellent selection. Especially for a third generation male.
