    Chronic Angler

Easy to grow, definitely leaned more towards the Triangle Kush parent. Great day time smoke. Heavy high, yet very functional.

This was a great combo, strong high, favorite pheno has purp early flower. Top knotch breeder, and great service. And the price point is A1. I really like how speakeasy carries the top respectable breeders!!!

One half of Mass Medical Seeds extremely limited Legendary Boston Cream Pie Drop

    epochalypse – April 17, 2022

Boston Cream Pie was an extremely limited Mass Medical Seeds cross of Putang (Breeder’s Cut – Tangie x Star Pupil) x Mendocino Menage à Trois, & was easily one of his greatest releases to date. Very few packs were released and it sold out the day it dropped. I think it was limited to less than 100 packs. But not only do I have a spectacular keeper – I’m releasing S1s of that keeper with MMS’ blessing. And I’m not the only one. Last year, Mixed Marriage Genetics released Boston Cream Pie S1s & LIT released Boston Cream Pie x Runtz. I’ve grown both releases, and they’re both spectacular, yet my own Orange Creamsicle cut is unique enough that it’s still worthy of its own S1 release. In fact I think it’s superior to both of the other drops made with Boston Cream Pie genetics. Ever since I first grew her two years ago when she was first released, I’ve made sure to keep a mother alive & healthy.

It’s almost impossible for a breeder to know ahead of time unless they’ve spent years working with the plants they’re releasing after they’ve finished all their work on the plants – especially if they took years to breed & test, breeders are usually eager to release them ASAP, so spending an additional several years working with the plant is beyond rare, so such spectacular cultivars aren’t typically identified prior to release, but occasionally there’s that one release out of a bundle of a breeders releases that is truly spectacular & stands proudly above anything that was released alongside them. Such releases aren’t common, but whenever they do appear, it’s obvious that they’re easily better than the rest of the releases dropped simultaneously. Karma’s LemonTini & Tha Melon, Oni’s Strawberry Guava, Symbiotic’s Mimosa, & the Swamp Boys’ Lemon Royale come to mind as examples of such plants. There’s plenty of other examples, but you get my point. And Boston Cream Pie is also undoubtedly a member of that extremely exclusive, legendary club. I haven’t grown Mendocino Menage à Trois, but as spectacular as Mass Medical’s Putang is, it’s certainly not solely responsible for the success of the Boston Cream Pie. This must be a particularly excellent strain to have provided half of the genetics responsible for the phenomenal Boston Cream Pie.

My Orange Creamsicle cut of Boston Cream Pie without question the loudest cannabis plant I’ve ever grown, & I’ve grown hundreds of different cultivars, with at least a few from virtually every well known breeder. From the lab in my basement, this plant fills my entire house with a potent scent of orange and vanilla that’s so potent, I can smell it through a closed tent, across two rooms, & three stories up whenever I flower her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Boston Cream Pie is over 5% terpenes by weight. It’s one of the only recently released plants that I’m making S1s of – the other MMS plant that is getting an S1 release is the original breeder’s clone only cut of Rick’s Pupil – & only because it was one of MMS’ first & most popular releases, and I’m the only person that apparently still has the cut, as far as MMS is aware. It is certainly worthy of getting an S1 release – spectacular smelling floral scented buds, truly stunning violet purple flowers, & truly wonderful psychotropic effects that are perfectly balanced, lack a ceiling, & don’t cause any couch lock despite a pleasant body buzz to compliment its excellent, energetic heady daytime high. Only a few other classics that aren’t available anymore, or were released at least 5 years ago as clone only plants are getting the S1 treatment as well, but the Boston Cream Pie, released in early 2020, is the only recent plant I’m releasing my own S1s of.

You know it’s a special plant if two breeders are launching their seed lines with her S1s (myself & Mixed Marriage Genetics – who have only released the Boston Cream Pie S1s to date – at least my own launch will have several other releases as well) & LIT thought her worthy of crossing with Runtz & releasing alongside only two other Runtz crosses – Georgia Pie & Gelato 41 – neither of which needs any introduction & are both considered phenomenal plants that need no introduction – especially the latter, the heavily used, undisputed queen of the diverse gelato line. Yet alongside those two plants x Runtz was the Boston Cream Pie. Certainly, if it had gotten a wider release, we would be seeing a lot more Boston Cream Pie crosses. Most of the few feminized packs that were released likely went to growers who never had the means or intent to breed, but I’m sure they were very happy with the plants that grew from the seeds. Mendocino Menage à Trois is likely a spectacular breeding plant. I’m not aware of any other cultivars that were made with this plant as a parent, but if there’s anybody that still has their packs, or some seeds left over, I highly recommend reversing and breeding with any standout phenotypes.
