What is ‘Account Funds: Top Up With Debit Card / Apple Pay’?

Thanks to our friends at OpenNode and SendWyre–and in effort to combat bitcoin volatility–you can now utilize DEBIT CARD and APPLE PAY to top-up your speakeasy account with ready to use funds.  Please note that you are simultaneously purchasing bitcoin via DEBIT CARD or APPLE PAY and sending it to us to pay for your ‘Account Funds: Top-Up’ order in one seamless step directly at the time of checkout through our website.  Long story short, speakeasy now proudly accepts debit card and apple pay!

Are there any limitations?

Yes.  There is currently a DebitCard/ApplePay limit of $200 per customer / per day–as a result your ‘Top-Up’ account cannot exceed $200.  Also, this option is available to USA customers only.  However, you can utilize this ‘Top-Up’ option to steadily fund your speakeasy account $200 at a time / per day up to any cumulative amount of your choice via our corresponding ‘Account Funds’ feature!

How does this system work?

With your debit card in hand or through your apple pay enabled device, choose the $$$ amount you would like to ‘Top-Up’ your account with by entering it in the ‘Top-Up Amount’ box above–make sure it is $200 or less otherwise the ‘DebitCard/ApplePay’ option is not available for use. Proceed to the checkout screen–our ‘DebitCard/ApplePay’ option will be automatically selected–and click the ‘Place Order’ button.  You will be redirected to your opennode.com invoice–click the ‘DebitCard/ApplePay’ button at the bottom of this invoice and you will be redirected to sendwyre.com. Follow the on-screen prompts to automatically purchase the ‘TOP-UP’ equivalent amount of bitcoin and simultaneously send it to us to pay for your order in 1 simple step…then voila…payment for your order is complete with no bitcoin wallet or post office trip necessary!

How do I spend my Account Funds?

Following a short processing time (typically less than 1 hour), account funds will post to your speakeasy account which are immediately available to use via the new ‘Account Funds’ payment option you now have access to on the checkout screen. Partial or full redemption is accepted on any and all future orders, and you can view your current Account Funds balance by visiting the ‘Account Funds’ tab on the ‘My Account’ page at your convenience 24/7.
